根據CBET 944報道，日本國立天文台的科學家Sato和Watanabe公布了他們關于哈雷彗星塵埃尾的計算結果。這個成果基于2006年獵戶座流星雨的爆發，計算機模擬顯示哈雷彗星在公元前836年的噴發物將于2007年5月6.6日(北京時間6日22時左右)與地球相遇，最小距離為0.0001AU(約1.5萬公里)。由于這個噴發物年齡太大，活動持續時間可能較長。詳細數據參見:

I calculated dust trails of Eta-Aquarids in 2007.
The Earth will encounter the dust trail ejected from 1P/Halley in -835 (BC 836).
Especially, two parts of a dust trail will approach on May 6, the peak of meteor shower is expected to observed.

Expected peak time is between 13:30 and 15:00 on May 6.
However, the trails were very old, it is guessed that the peak is not sharp.
